In the vast and ever-evolving field of medicine, the journey of learning and sharing never truly ends. Over my 25-year career in orthopedics, I’ve transitioned from an eager attendee to a presenter and panel discussion member at numerous medical conferences. This journey has reinforced a vital lesson: the importance of active participation and engagement with our peers in these forums. To all aspiring and young doctors, I want to emphasize that attending medical conferences is a gateway to invaluable learning opportunities. These gatherings are not just about listening; they’re about engaging, questioning, and contributing to the dialogue. As presenters or attendees, every interaction is a chance to broaden our understanding and to share our own insights, which can illuminate paths for others in their professional journey. Therefore, I encourage you to immerse yourselves fully in these experiences. Embrace the opportunity to learn from others’ expertise and to share your own. The connections forged and knowledge gained in these settings are instrumental in our growth as healthcare providers. Together, through active participation, we not only advance our own careers but also contribute to the evolution of medical practice. Let’s continue to learn, share, and grow together for the betterment of healthcare and the communities we serve

meet with Dr. Hargun J Sangtani
It was indeed a great honour to meet with Dr. Hargun J Sangtani, an expert surgeon who introduced me to the world of Joint Replacement Surgery. It is 25 yrs since, and I am still striving to do a perfect replacement in each and every one of my patients, just like how he had taught me. His mentorship was the cornerstone of my practice in joint replacement, shaping my approach to every surgery with precision and dedication. His wisdom echoes in the operating room, guiding my hands and heart. To Dr.Sangtani, my enduring thanks for setting the standard of excellence I strive to uphold with each patient I have the privilege to treat.

Presentation
Reflecting on an enriching weekend at the annual conference of the Indian Society of Hip and Knee Surgeons in Calcutta, I had the privilege of introducing robotic knee surgery techniques to eager young delegates. Sharing insights from complex cases I’ve operated on, it was a profound opportunity to serve as a teaching tool for the next generation of surgeons. The exchange of knowledge, scientific data, and discussions on long-term results not only fostered intellectual interactions but also equipped younger surgeons to handle challenging cases with confidence. Truly, a weekend well spent in advancing the field and nurturing future excellence.
